Teen Advisory Board

The Teen Advisory Board is a group of teens, ages 13 to 18, from Maury County and surrounding communities served by the Maury County Public Library who are interested in having a say in what the library does for them.
Meetings are held at 6pm on the last Tuesday of every month at the Columbia branch library.

Goals

The Teen Advisory Board’s goal is to promote library services to teens at Maury County Public Library and the community by:

  • Advising, planning and implementing teen programs
  • Creating an inviting teen area at the library
  • Promoting ideas, reading, programming and expression by and for teens by creating bulletin boards and displays in the young adult area
  • Recommending books, movies, music CDs, and magazines for the Young Adult collection.
